Victorian Small Hot Water #3 Jug, Antique

An antique Victorian oval, brass hot water jug with a #3 stamp on the bottom. This marking points to a major center of British metalwork from the Victorian to Arts & Crafts eras (c. 1880–1920). Upper brass handle across top and the back section of the top is hinged to pour in water. Smaller handle at the upper end of the body opposite the spout. Four bands of ribbing at the top and the bottom of the body.
